
Creamy Bacon and Mushroom Pasta

450g pasta
3 1/2 cups water
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup white cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 cup bacon, sliced

Instructions
Dice the bacon and set the Instant Pot to saute
Add the bacon and saute for 1 minute
Add in the mushrooms and saute with the bacon for 1 minute
Add the pasta on top of the bacon and mushrooms
Pour the water into the inner pot and apply the pressure lid
Pressure cook on HIGH for 3 minutes
After pressure cooking has completed, allow the pressure to naturally release for 5 minutes, then manually release any remaining pressure
Remove the pressure lid and set the Instant Pot to Saute
Add the salt, garlic powder, and heavy cream and simmer for 1 minute
Mix in the white cheddar cheese and simmer for 1 minute
Mix in the parmesan cheese and bring the sauce to a boil
Allow the sauce to simmer for 5 minutes or until it reaches desired consistency

Can i substitute the bacon with chicken breasts? Looks wonderful just watching my fat intake levels.
Hi Giana, you can use any type of meat instead of bacon or if you prefer to make it vegetarian, omit the meat and add whatever veggies you have on hand.
